Funny.   :)  So CNN calls it "quirky" and "cheeky."  I wonder what they called Murkowski's use of a Ted Stevens ad?

(CNN) – In a quirky new ad, Alaska's Republican Senate nominee Joe Miller promises to go to Washington to restore "that thing you love called the Constitution."

Miller's ad is a spoof of the infamous "Old Spice" body wash commercial that features a handsome, deep-voiced man instructing men how to "improve their mansmells."

Though the original ad's towel-laden, horse riding, cliff diving actor Isaiah Mustafa, does not make an appearance, a Mustafa sound-alike makes the case for Miller as a war veteran and respected judge.

In the spoof, the smooth-voiced narrator also says, "Hello voters. Look at your ballot. Now look at him. This is Joe Miller. Now back to your ballot. You see his name. Now look at her. Now back to your ballot. Sadly, she is not on your ballot. Why? Because she lost."

"She" is veteran Sen. Lisa Murkowski, who lost Alaska's GOP primary to Miller in September, and is now running as a write-in candidate. Notably absent from the cheeky ad is any mention of Murkowski's name, which voters will have to write on the ballot.

Despite this disadvantage, a recent CNN/Time/Opinion Research Corporation poll showed Murkowski just two points behind Miller. The Democratic nominee, Scott McAdams, trailed Murkowski by 14 points, while four percent said they were either undecided or not supporting any of the three candidates listed in the survey.
