Please explain that one. There no way things could get worst. It`s not gonna change for the better unless something drastic is done, and making it more illegal just makes the price go up making people more violent. It seemed to work with prohibition.
If you go by a certain fucked up definition of "legal", it's already legal because the authorities aren't doing shit about it.
If it was 100% "legal", the government would put restrictions on who could sell it (see: the people who are selling it now).
The way it is now, the people in the government are getting paid to do nothing by the cartels, and the cartel members are offing each other. Yeah it's not the optimal solution, but the fact of the matter is, for something to be "legal" in a place like Mexico, the entire country needs a regime change, which will never happen, as Mexico is an "old boys club" society like most others.
The best northern america can do is try to plug up some border spots, but we all know they'll take the longer route via international waters; and convict the dealers on us soil.
