these top basketball players are one of the few groups who i dont mind getting paid like they do, for the simple reason that no one else can do what they do. unlike business executives and tv hosts/personalities who get paid millions yet are 100% replaceable and interchangeable. but who could the Lakers replace kobe bryant with? NOBODY. therefore the cost is understandable

i wouldn't say all other celebs are 100% replaceable....and i think Wilts point was that wtf else would these guys be doing?  They would be back home slinging burgers and still playing ball when they got a chance, even with not being paid.
