Unfortunately that is true. I have a 10 min drive to work, or a 45 min bus ride. Were it not for the inclement Canadian weather I could bike to work year round, which still only takes 15-20 min.
That's the other thing, once dec. hits... we start seeing -45 celsius, 2 feet of snow and blizzard's all day/night long
you definetly need a good suv to battle the canadian winter...driving by in the middle of a blizzard you see small sedan's and honda civic's upside down in ditches up and down the street, lol
