As many of you longtime gbers might remember, Bruno is the gym manager where I train. In the past he implemented a brilliant plan to help seperate the twinks (sub-200) from the full-grown men. He gave the little guys their own area in the back of the gym with db's up to 40lbs, some Swiss balls and stretch tubes. It's been a hit.
Well for 2011, Bruno has developed another sure-fire success.... we all know how annoying it is when the "New Years resolution" crowd clogs up the gym right? Well, Bruno's plan is to run a year special on membership if paid in full....he will bring the new members around and me and the boys will be very courteous.....until they sign the contract......then on the following visits, we are going to intimidate them into not coming back. this way it keeps our membership costs down, makes Bruno money, keeps the gym looking less crowded for new members and keeps the equipt and toilets from over-use.
And Bruno is thinking of just making it a year round idea, and don't worry he's going to give me the old-school head nod to let me know when it's a potential new member so we will know who to spot, encourage, etc....
