Fatpanda, you are smart dude, but a arrogant and misguided one. There is a saying, "It's easy to make something complicated, but hard to make something simple"

To be fair, he's the one that's trying to follow this principle with the calorie is a calorie thing. If it is indeed true, it's a great job of taking something that most people make complicated and simplifying it.

You are right about consistancy being damn important LATS, and besides consistancy, HARD WORK is of even greater importance, coz even if you are consistant NO improvement while occur unless one progressively improves. If one consistantly does the same exact thing, they will consistantly look exactly the same. And yeah, you are right doing a training style that you like or enjoy, BUT... Some training styles ARE much more effective than others ;D

I used to work out percentages. Try to improve by X amount of kg each week etc

Not I train hard 4x week lift until I am aching and muscles are tired, go home and eat then do it all again the following week. generally if I eat enough I will get more reps or at least the same amount of reps easier.

DJ181 100% AGREE..  some routines will be way more effective than others.. but what i was referring to was what a person is willing to do on a consistent basis.. if one gets the best routine that man can offer but hates it he mentally will not be into it or not do it at all.. but as you and i said as long as poundage increases on a fairly consistent basis any routine will "work" and give results as long as it is done consistently.. so yes, i agree 100% ;) being consistent without progression is useless..

consistency with progression will allow slacking off in the diet as well.

fatshitpanda's putting in 30% effort and eating kitkats.  he looks like throw-up.
