I wasn't going to watch it this year anyway.

I was watching UK's Strongest Man a few weeks ago (also on Bravo I think) and it was co-presented by Alex Reid so I switched off.

probably somewhere. i hate watching stuff like that on the computer though.

it's just that wsm has been a christmas/new year tradition on uk tv for a long time. and now it's gone out of the way on satelite/cable channel

Saw it yesterday in the states. Brian Shaw will be the next WSM for years. (From USA).
BEAST!
Poundstone is juiced out of his mind. Dead by 40.
Big Z has a year or so left, but I think Shaw can take him next year.
Big Z is a legend though, better than the juice lark - Pudz..

I seen Glenn Ross a few weeks back in town. Looked a bit slimmer.

On UK Strongest man it said he has lost 6stone(84lbs)

I reckon Poundstone would have been up there if he hadn't torn his quad.

Poundstone is good,  but he's so juiced, he'll prolly keep getting torn up.
Reminds me of Kevin Nee, not as naturally big as some of the monsters, needs to mega-juice.
Shaw is just a monster of a person, who's really just getting started.
He just won the Jon Pall Classic:

I know, the amount of americans that used to think 'I sounded like that crocodile hunter guy'....i have quite a posh british accent, which sounds NOTHING like an aussie accent, yet still pretty much every american i met outside of Washington DC (strangely where everyone got it right the first time) thought I came from a land of corked hats and boomerangs. (actually my dad's an aussie but im still loving tearing him a new one about the cricket so we'll forget that for the moment.)

One of the best WSM finals for years,Brian Shaw would have won if not for a stupid mistake on the very first event,he loaded the sand bag on the plinth, and let it drop off,the time it took to pick it back up cost him the point he needed to win.Big Z pushed him self on the log press with a 205kg press and burst his nose open on the deadlift, blood running everywhere.

Big Z on the log press was FUCKING AWESOME!!  Most impressive lifting I've ever seen!!!
Dude didn't even use his legs, no real explosion, PURE shoulder and tricep strength!!

When you think that Misha is an olympic weighlifter and had trouble jerking it overhead, and Big Z just pressed it with no leg movement at all, unreal strength.

It'll be on ESPN Jan 2nd for 5 hours

I've loved these competitions since I was a young girl ... amazing feats of strength and they're so cool to watch

Exactly!
Imagine if Big Z Jerked the weight up, just imagine what he'd be able to achieve!!
