Plainview's Jennifer Rankin has been out winning body building titles again, this time being judged the female winner of the 2011 BodySpace Spokesmodel Search presented by Iron Man Magazine.

Already a national bikini competitor, fitness model and personal trainer, on top of being the health and wellness director and aquatics director at the Plainview Y, Rankin last month earned her biggest title to date in California.

The competition consisted of more than 200 men and more than 200 women, from which 20 men and 20 women semifinalists were chosen through online voting.

Judges from IronMan Magazine and bodybuilding.com then chose the top five finalists, who earned an all-expense paid trip to Los Angeles to compete on stage during the Los Angeles Fitness Expo on Jan. 29.

Rankin, who graduated in 2005 from Wayland with a degree in physical education and business administration, participated in group and individual photo shoots with IronMan Magazine and a video content day and photo shoot with bodybuilding.com. For the final round on stage, judges took feedback from photographers and videographers with whom contestants previously worked, plus judged on how well contestants photographed, stage presence, likability and responses to on-stage questions.

"I felt like I was living in a dreamland the entire week and couldn't believe all of this was happening to me," Rankin said.

And that was before she knew she won.

"I couldn't believe it," she said. "I am still bopping around on cloud nine."

As a result of her win, Rankin will be appearing on a cover of Iron Man Magazine along with the male winner.

She also will be featured in an article about the competition in Iron Man Magazine, appear in a national advertising campaign for Bodybuilding.com and receive airfare and hotel expenses to both the 2011 Arnold Expo in Columbus, Ohio, and the 2011 Olympia Expo in Las Vegas where she will appear as a spokesmodel for Bodybuilding.com and the BodySpace community.

She's also been named to the new Team Bodybuilding.com.

And, age 27, Rankin seems to be just getting started.
