I agree with that part but the idea that it will level out is just assinine bro
first off the money that was being paid to cover those costs wasnt going to the insurance company it was going to the GOVT...you think the govt is going to all of a sudden start taking less of our money b/c they may have less bills? and thats even if it does work...
the insurance companies are going to continue to raise premiums b/c they have more risks they have to pay for all those preventative visits.
this bill does nothing to contain costs mal absolutely nothing...
you say it wil level off and lets just say youre right, what stops the rising costs to the consumer?
PReventative is cheaper than ER.. its just a fact. The consumer pays for the cost.. if the cost is reduced the consumer pays less.
I think you are thinking its like the petro situation where oil companies say "they paid 4 bucks/gallon anyway" that remains to be seen. but can we agree that it was fucked up in the first place and the bill in its purest form would have done more than this watered down pos we got?

right mal but again whats to keep the insurance companies from just creating bigger profit margins?

and again mal the money that was used to cover those uninsured went to the govt via taxes...not the insurance companies...

so you think the govt is going to tax less from us just b/c they dont have to pay as much for uninsured ppl? HONESTLY?

this was a govt and insurance company gang bang on the us citizens

Because 30mil more people have healthcare?.. God damn it
Right. That was the only thing.  Not the stim bill that was supposed to keep UE at 8%. Not the effort spent on trying to legitimize cap and trade.

All that time wasted on those agendas, while ignoring the importance of creating an economic environment where businesses, large and small, could determine how many people they can hire and where to spend their money.

until the current legislation is changed or some others are passed

the situation will not get any better under the new health care bill

govt wont tax less b/c they have less to pay for in health care costs

insurance companies will continue to raise rates b/c of increased risk and there is no reason not to increase profits...especially when the economy kicks back in and everyone is raising prices...

this bill doesnt do shit except the pre existing conditions clause
