How was your childhood unique.
« on: February 08, 2011, 05:43:56 PM »
Just thinking about shit as a kid, realizing I had a wierd ass childhood, I bet your all shocked.  ::)

Basically my brother was a wonderkid learned to program and shit at the age of 11. Had adult level of comprehension on a bunch of tests when he was like 12, however he peaked at 14

I had recorded signs of Ocd since I was five. Lived as a shut in until I was 18. Use to get depressed at the age of 7 or 8 because I didn't work out everyday. :-\, Use to obsess over eating the canada food guide every day. Wierd shit like that. Never broke a rule until I was twelve in school.

On the up side I was raised with pretty good values from my folks, parents taught me a fuck load of shit, how to be good with money ect Good solid values even most adults on here lack. (Yes I've rebelled against a solid upbringing. ::)) S

Just wondering no banana were hurt aight?

Did your locksmith drive over with a boxcutter when you were locked out or did you just pull the tape off yourself?

Parents divorced by 4.  Mom was a nutty super christian. Sucked my thumb till I was 13, shit my pants till I was 14.  Outcast cause I wasn't black enough.  Almost daily beatings from my backwoods Mississippi mother because I did "evil things".  Put in retard classes cause I didn't get a fuck. At 15 father got custody (moved from Ghetto to middle class house, stop shitting my pants, got almost straight A's. For the rest of high school. Excelled in academics and sports, stuck on one girlfriend, applied to westpoint got accepted.  Changed my mind cause wanted to stay with girlfriend, declined acceptance. girlfriend eventually cheats on me.  Get my revenge by having friend have phone sex with her and record it.  Play it around school., she's known as a slut.  Graduate, with a small scholarship...get shot at a house party.  Say fuck Vegas and leave for the military...the rest is history....All of this is 100% true....Mother and I have reconciled even though I'm still emotionally distant.

Only thing missing there is saying that you once posed in a thong oiled up in front of jeering men, though if that was the case I fear you wouldnt be here today.

I had some kind of disease like "Assburgers" that made me super unique and totally smart, just like everyone else.

I never amounted to anything because everything was so easy for me and I was bored.  I was just so different and unique compared to everyone else, mostly because of the undiagnosed "savant-like" syndrome that caused all my social awkwardness and made me so smart that I did poorly in school.

I don't talk about it much.

Good answer, didn't need to be that graphic but interesting. I don't get why people get so antsy with this shit, it's not such a big deal. Grow up and stop being so insecure.

People that get embarassed about things that happened to them as a child are a bit much. Who the fucks cares were all equally fucked, I was neurotic, and liked to follow the rules, and yet your acting like I'm pooring some deep secret out to you. Have some balls.

And please don't give me I like to keep some thing private, I  ain't asking for a bunch of names and details, just basic shit, like was it was good or bad, my childhood, was pretty much good for turning out to such a fuck up.

You guys like to act like everything I said is just whinning and shit, and ignore when I'm trying to be positive proactive/mature/communitive.

P.S. I'm pretty sure I ain't got assburgers ::).

My daddy left home when I was three
And he didn't leave much to ma and me
Just this old guitar and an empty bottle of booze.
Now, I don't blame him cause he run and hid
But the meanest thing that he ever did
Was before he left, he went and named me "Sue."

Well, he must o' thought that is quite a joke
And it got a lot of laughs from a' lots of folk,
It seems I had to fight my whole life through.
Some gal would giggle and I'd get red
And some guy'd laugh and I'd bust his head,
I tell ya, life ain't easy for a boy named "Sue."

Well, I grew up quick and I grew up mean,
My fist got hard and my wits got keen,
I'd roam from town to town to hide my shame.
But I made a vow to the moon and stars
That I'd search the honky-tonks and bars
And kill that man who gave me that awful name.

Well, it was Gatlinburg in mid-July
And I just hit town and my throat was dry,
I thought I'd stop and have myself a brew.
At an old saloon on a street of mud,
There at a table, dealing stud,
Sat the dirty, mangy dog that named me "Sue."

Well, I knew that snake was my own sweet dad
From a worn-out picture that my mother'd had,
And I knew that scar on his cheek and his evil eye.
He was big and bent and gray and old,
And I looked at him and my blood ran cold
And I said: "My name is 'Sue!' How do you do!
Now your gonna die!!"

Well, I hit him hard right between the eyes
And he went down, but to my surprise,
He come up with a knife and cut off a piece of my ear.
But I busted a chair right across his teeth
And we crashed through the wall and into the street
Kicking and a' gouging in the mud and the blood and the beer.

I tell ya, I've fought tougher men
But I really can't remember when,
He kicked like a mule and he bit like a crocodile.
I heard him laugh and then I heard him cuss,
He went for his gun and I pulled mine first,
He stood there lookin' at me and I saw him smile.

And he said: "Son, this world is rough
And if a man's gonna make it, he's gotta be tough
And I knew I wouldn't be there to help ya along.
So I give ya that name and I said goodbye
I knew you'd have to get tough or die
And it's the name that helped to make you strong."

He said: "Now you just fought one hell of a fight
And I know you hate me, and you got the right
To kill me now, and I wouldn't blame you if you do.
But ya ought to thank me, before I die,
For the gravel in ya guts and the spit in ya eye
Cause I'm the son-of-a-bitch that named you "Sue.'"

I got all choked up and I threw down my gun
And I called him my pa, and he called me his son,
And I came away with a different point of view.
And I think about him, now and then,
Every time I try and every time I win,
And if I ever have a son, I think I'm gonna name him
Bill or George! Anything but Sue! I still hate that name!

My parents were both from Liverpool working class and my Grandad played for the Football Club.  My father and his father and the fathers on my Mum's side all fought in both wars and all came home with medals.

I was told these stories whilst growing up.  My dad looked like James Bond and was a Quartz Crystal Engineer.  We lived in a town in Essex near Cambridge and the house my Dad bought for £3,000 in the 1960's is now for sale for £575,000.  He'd have loved that.

My mother was very beautiful too.  I had a younger brother.  We passed all our exams and were very clever.

I was the sixer of the pixies in the Brownies.

We moved to Canada (my father was offered jobs in Sweden, Australia and with NASA in California, but took the job in Canada.  I was 14.  That was my childhood, I grew up after that.

I've been so incredibly fantastically born lucky and had the best childhood ever.  We travelled all over the UK in a caravan having lovely holidays every summer.  We were all healthy and happy, singing and dancing and laughing and growing up and looking forward to a nice future.

with love
