You want a big squat? Try to stretch out your stomach as much as possible. Get the circumference as big as possible. Try to get as much visceral fat as possible. Worked for me!  :D

Lots of sugar.

Lots of solid bloating food.

Gallon of milk a day.

 :D

That is true in a sense. Though I don't try to artificially stretch my midsection but the muscularity will make it thicker. I think whatever, gives me confidence that I really have strength there.

I know that I need ab isolation exercises. Front squats didn't make my abs stronger, but planks did. I noticed that 3 sets of easy weighted planks activated my abs more than 10 heavy front squat sets did. I think everyone who wants to have a good front squat (not just mediocre, I mean really good) should try different ab exercises because you'll never know.

Ab wheel didn't work for the gym strength like the plank did, but it is the best exercise I have tried for hypertrophy.

Planks are great, i did a lot of core work in the last year, helped me greatly with my deadlift and squats.

I'm curious DK, how much can you pull, and what's your bodyweight?

bodybuilder mainly diet to get rid of 3% bodyfat and  water due to water retention ,,the abs will be there no matter what moment body fat us low enough and more importently they will be there even at 10% if! water retention is not very high ,, at 8-9% everyone start seeing abs pretty clear even if water rention and 7% is where you see the tunel starting to show,,from then on is mainly water manipulation and little bit of fat

so thats that

Not sure about this. My abs are showing with a clear line that goes through the middle, actually if I flex it right there's like a half inch depression between the abs. But at the same time I have very little veins showing, the three big heads on my quad muscles can barely be told apart, and my delts are only slightly striated. Everything else besides the abs would indicate that I'm above 12-13% bf at the least. But according to your logic I'm sub 8%bf.

I agree...if you want deep abs...no kitchen will help you, you must train them...
For example me...even at low bf% my abs are definately "not cool"...why? because i didnt train them all these years!
I started training them this year religiously...and they have definately thickened up.

Agree 100% - I have no idea what gh15 is on about but from my personal experience when I dieted down five or six years ago I'd never been able to see my abs because I'd never trained them - you can't define what you don't have.

It's only in the last two years or so I've now got abs because I train them at least once a week with heavy resistance.

Concentrate on more lineal and rotational core strength.

twice a week is more than enough
your abs get a lot of secondary work from squating, deadlifting and overhead pressing movements

unless you're lean enough training abs more than once a week is a bit of a waste of time.

get really lean, then train the shit out of them 3 times a week, then you'll see a major difference.

I love this phrase...you read it almost all the time on forums. This, along with "biceps and/or forearms getting worked enough from back training".

training abs?? lol

abs are trained in the kitchen,,you want abs naturally you eat less garbage or eat more garbage and pray you have high natural gh in body and you will knwo it very well because the whores wil be all over you ages 16-22,,

if hormonized...gh and all you can eat buffet will get your abs showing nicely lol,, 9% easily! after 3 months of constant use of gh with ANY TYPE OF DIET YOU CHOOSE,,you heard this right ,,you will see your abs at 9% or under on any type of diet of your choice if you been on legit gh at 5 iu or more for 3 months

any type of diet you chose still doesnt = drinking oil all day ,,it mean restaurant burger,,sushi,,jamaican,,german,,etc wont matter you will be single digit within 3 months of gh usage unles you started at 25-30% ,,most fellas who start gh are between 10-15% and go into single digits effortless within 3 months on the gh

spoken turth here - havernt done abs since 05, I squat heavy and do alot of lower back

if abs are your 'core' - and you strengthen everythg around the 'core' wouldnt it HAVE to develop so why isolate

if I do abs my left center of  my 4 pak cramps up for 4 hours and I cant breathe or take a dump :'(

I was stuck at the same weight on squats for a long time.  I started working abs hard (for the first time) and I'm squating more than ever finally.

can you see any difference in the ab area because of squatting more?

the worse thing in the world,,is to see bodybuild with large waist and midsection ,,look at jason he look real bad I MEAN REAL BAD no matter how manyh o he win he will never be remember for great physiqe and he know it,,he just wont ,,he will be remember for being heavy thick and really not grainy heavy thick but more of a insulin heavy thick,,very bad memory no matter how much he win ,,its mainly because of the waiist and loss his v taper which wasnt all that amazing back in the day but now day its catastrophic,,

now,, when you train abs and obliqes you will grow that section no matter what you think,,this section of body need to remain tight and appear small to be good bodybuild,,i know now day no one care but in reality the first thign that say you are in great shape is tight small waist or atleast waist that appear small nd wide shoulders,, this is number one importance look at lee hainey! this is very very important because ONLY THOSE FELLAS WIL BE ABLE TO PASS 17 INCH ARMS AS 19 INCH ARMS ONLY THOSE FELLAS WILL BE ABLE TO HAVE ILLUSION OF BEING MUCH BIGGER THAN THEY ARE USUALLY 15-20 LB LOOK BIGGER THAN ACTUAL WEIGHT,,and this abs are develop in the kitchen and in the drug department,,yes working abdoinal is optional and begginers do it a lot it create some kind of foundation ,,but! the abs will be ther ewhen bodyfat is low enough and ofcourse when water retention is not out of control,,

lean = abs,,it is genetic too and some fellas wont have abs no matter how hard and lean they are see boyer,,abs is matter of genetic and how lean you are and even more importento how much water your hold...you can be as lean as a mother fucking chita and still not see lower abs why? becuse you hold too much waterr rr rr rr ,,

if you can see your abdominal clear you are sub 8% meaning UNDER 8%

if you can see the lines and see the shape of them but seratus and outter abs are more defined than inner abs ,,median line is visible,, then that mean you hold water on you and not so much fat and you are between 8 and 10%

if you see the median line that seperate right from left side but you cant see much more it can either mean you have too much fat or too much water and for that i need to see direct pictures to decide including lower back,,usually those fellas run are between 8 and 12 % depending on if its water or fat that cover the midsection

so yes if your abs are showig with clear line in the middle you are most likley 8-10% bodyfat,,if you show picture i can tell you exactly how much bodyfat you are,,with what you describe with out seeing picture i will say its 8-10% and due to water rentention you think you are 12 like other idiot bodybuild around the world

people always do it they confuse water and fat and it happen almost always between 7 and 12 %

Most likely too much fat. Might just be my ab genetics that screw it up.
