back is one thing I really kill myself on, but I only seem to build my upper back
6 months ago I was at the same spot. Back workouts were only working my upper lats and my friggin biceps.
All can I say is bent over rows man, Dorian Yates way. And as far as the other exercises goes, make the movements a little slower and more concentrated, have a spoter for the heavy sets or drop some plates if necessary.
Also, get sub 12% body fat, I couldnt believe how much fat I was storing around the back of my midsection until I lost it. People usually dont seem to notice it because the fat somewhat blend with the rest of your body there, but as soon as you get rid of it then its time for the wo effect.
