A CEO and a tea partier and a union member
« on: March 04, 2011, 07:30:59 PM »
A CEO and a tea partier and a union member are sitting around a table with 12 cookies on it. The CEO reaches over and takes 11 cookies then leans over and says to the tea partier, 'hey better watch out that union guy is going to try and take a piece of your cookie'.   :D

If the CEO takes 11 of the cookies the market would deem that he has to produce atleast 11 of the cookies. BUt even if the Union member only produces a tenth of a cookie the government and collective bargaining would enable him to take more than that.

Oh, wait, Im giving your analogy too much credit. There arent enough CEOs to be able to take that many cookies relative to the entire plate. But there are tons of Union members.

Who put up the capital in the first place to make the cookies?  Who bought the equiptment and infrastructure to make the cookies?  Who spent the time to develop the idea to make the cookies? Who assumes the risks and costs in the event the cookies don't sell?
Who is responsible for the liability if one of the union fucks screws up an hurts someone?

I'm sick of this crap from you economically illiterate fools.

Another thing, having been on both sides of this - if the union guy is so upset at the ceo - why doesn't he become one himself?

And as for the whole mantra about the evil ceo stealing money etc, don't union thugs do the same thing when they waste time, take unreasobale breaks, work slowdowns, etc?  That's theft no?

Of course you economic illiterates don't grasp that.

hahahaha!

I hate unions with a passion, but that shit is funny.

if they didn't get greedy and abuse their power to give high school grads $80 an hour salary with huge retirement package, they would be a useful tool in keeping the middle class strong and working conditions/pay equitable.

But alas, they're as crooked and greedy as everyone else.

The tea partier is probably a small business person sick of these union bitches driving up their costs and taxes.  They may not like the ceo - but they also despise the union slob just as much.
