Credit Card Question

I've got three credit cards with balances of about $1k.  They're all with capital one.  I'm paying them off, but was wondering if Capital One would let me consolidate these three balances onto one card/account?

be careful of transfer balances, make sure about the fees. If you can get a lower balance credit card and try to transfer to that one. Again watch for transfer fees

PIP, just say you don't want to pay any transfer fees.  Seems like if you usually pay your bills on time, they'd accomodate you. 

We paid our bill late once and they charged us a finance fee and interest (I think).  I called and said I didn't want to pay it and they said OK, and they removed it.

Just get a low-interest consolidation loan and pay off all the cards with that - then get a new credit card with a credit limit that exceeds the loan and also has a 0% interest on balance transfers and purchases and put the balance of the loan onto the new card - that way you won't incur interest and can pay minimum monthly repayments as a result - it may very well work out cheaper than the total monthly repayments on the three cards combined.

they might do that.  But Depending on how long you've had those accounts I wouldn't close them as it will re-age your credit history and possibly hurt your overall score.  Would probably be better off taking out a new card with another bank and transfering over teh balances to that one.
