That's for all of the Olympia shows not just the Mr. Olympia.

Maybe you should take part and if you win, you could afford to hire a reading coach  ::)

825k total Olympia weekend prize many
-600k of that allocated to Mr Olympia
-bums and sluts get the rest (which is too much for them)

The best bodybuilder on earth makes 200k for winning the biggest show (arguably) in their past time... Still retarded.

All depends on how much ticket sales, sponsorship money, etc - goes into it.  Obviously, television is just not there for it.

Thanks for this prize money information......

How much of the individual's money go to the IRS and State Taxes?

And how are the foreign competitors treated tax wise?

And what "items" will the IRS allow you to deduct?

Is there any one tax expert who is well known for doing the 1040's for the top money making pros within the IFBB?

202 showdown thingy should be dropped and add that 25k for Mr Olympia.

Too much diversity causing confuse among fans and bringing MrO -status down. I mean... what's next... Mr Lightweight Olympia, Mr Bantamweight Olympia...  ::)

We already have that, with the 202 class. And, now that there's a Men's fitness division, there'll probably be an Olympia for that.

Of course there used to be a lightweight Olympia (under 200 lbs). But, at least, the winner could compete with the over-200-lb class winner for the overall title. That's how Zane and Columbu got their titles.

$200,000? Interesting!!

To put this in perspective, the first show that offered six-figured prize money for first place occured nearly 20 years ago. That, of course, would be the 1991 World Bodybuilding Federation Championship, which occured on June 15, 1991.

Gary Strydom walked away with $100,000 for that win. It's taken TWO DECADES for prize money to double, a bit slow but steady.
