you would make them realise they are freaks, f4gs and repulsive?

Dude, they would jump off the stage in rage, they would break their ankles right away, some may even break their knees because they hadn't done any leg warm ups, and then they would feel physical AND mental pain. christ....

Bullshit! not with all the nubain and oxycontin pumping through their veins they wouldn't!

dr, I can't offer any intelligent statements about this new Planet of the Apes movie because family members who worked on it in Vancouver took off for New Zealand to work on a new project after the Planet set was closed and I have not seen anyone nor spoken to anyone since.

But I understand that it is a 'prequel' and is supposed to take place in San Francisco. The whole family went downtown to watch the cable cars scenes, but that's all I've heard about so far and most productions require that everyone sign a 'non-disclosure' contract, so I never even bother asking what it's all about how the shoot is proceeding.

I was on the set of the most recent one (the Mark Wahlburg one) and had the opportunity to watch the make up people do their job creating the apes. In fact that was the first time I met Quincy Taylor as he was undergoing the ape make-up process.

Interesting to note that my best friend from the Corps was the very first 'ape' and called me on the phone many times while he was sitting in a chair getting made up. If I recall right .... it was a 6+ hour process back then.

I thought this looks pretty fucking cool!  I'm gonna go see it!

I was a big fan of the original Planet of the Apes series!!!

The 2001 Mark Wahlburb version was O.......K....

Here are my points about it:

1.  Marky Mark didn't do that bad of a job really...
2.  Visuals, make ups, and costumes were really fucking cool, on par with some of the best in movie making history!
3.  Paul Giamatti was AWESOME!!!!
4.  Michael Clarke Duncan was bad ass!
5.  The main chick was hot (Estella Warren)
6.  Most of the plot was meh... but the ending blew me away... ((((((((((((((SPOILER ALERT))))))))))) when he goes back to earth and finds himself in Washington facing the Lincoln Monument, but Lincoln was an ape... that really brought me back to that same feeling I had when I saw the ending of the original one when they see the Statue of Liberty!  Great endings right there on both of them!

it was ok still not better than the the original and the ending as well, arnold  was said to be frontrunner in the early ninties for the remake that would have worked he had similar look facially and more believable as an astronaut.
