LMAO, lots of blah blah
The company I work for (IKEA) does the same. They even organised coworker sessions about things like "ethics" and "sustainability" to show how good they are for the world (LOL!). Bottom line -of course- is this: they realise that a solid reputation is an important ingredient for long term profit.
