Parker, I am one of the few here who is absolutely 100% real. I dated not one, but two women who had 8 figure trust funds, and were coming into more when the parents meet our Maker. I literally ran the other way. Both were headcases of the highest order. When you first meet these two, you are duped into thinking they are wifey material, as they come from so called "good" families (education, industrious men--note how I said "men", money, political influence), attractive and stylish, but are mere facades of real human beings.
Let's see:
--Depressed
--Substance abusers
--Rarely if ever meet with their "therapist", whom they have been seeing since they were 12 or 13 (what is so stressful about growing up a very attractive millionaire?)
--Hidden promiscuous pasts that you should merely overlook/be blind to, because after all, that is the past (ummm, one year ago ain't all that long ago, and I may have only found out
the tip of the cock iceberg that is your past)
--Attempt to control your future with their family money (e.g. "You don't have to work 70 hours a week with me."--Yeah, good idea, let me bank on your finances that I literally have zero control over (not that I should have any control over it).
I have never had that experience. Although, in college I did date this AKA (if you know black sororities, then you know what I'm talking about), well, her mother was a Super AKA, and she came from Prince George's Co, MD (county with the most influential and richest black folks), well, she acted like you described...control freak...
But as you said, the facade is up, and once you find out, you want to run...Kim K's facade is her fake ass, and family assests. Dude who proposed to her maybe trying to be a gold digger, or he may really like her--but she is a baller chaser, and her marrying one, gives her access to others...
Quite sad that men today have made themselves into the "prey"
