I hate to break it to you all but the "Lady Gaga" character is all a huge schtick

she is just ripping of Bowie when he did Ziggy Stardust. 
her whole image of doing outrageous things is almost "This is Spinal Tap" proportions....and the funny thing is that she knows that she is working all the marks.  Actually, come to think of it she is like a cross of Ziggy Stardust and Andy Kaufman because at this point she is in on the joke but everyone else isn't.....and Steffani Germanotta is laughing all the way to the bank

....however, I will say this.

While she is a huge Schtick, she does do alot for the gay community

....but, while she does do alot for the gays its like she kinda rubs it in your face that she is helping the gays.
