I see the point in a seasoned competitor training for preservation, but Dex has to do something different if his short time left as a pro is spent well. His recent slide in placings suggest he's on the way out.
Even though if it were up to me he would have beaten many of the guys placed ahead of him, he's one of the few BBers left with real muscle
dexters issue isn't related to anything in the gym...what he was , and has, been doing for the last 20plus years was apparently enough to win him the title of best in the world. If you haven't done it in the gym by the time you turn pro, its probably not going to happen...
that said...The only problem Dex is facing...is father time. his attention at thisnpoint needs to be focused on dialing in the last 48 hours..as the body ages, changes, etc...so does the methodology of what works, and what doesn't...All in all, Dexter will go down in history as one of the most consistant pros Throughout his career.
