I did, for 6 months in 1994... then I came back.  Never regretted it, made OK $ met some cool people.
Did anyone even notice you were away ??

I could easily have pointed to Mike as an example, but I did not do so because this is not really about him; many people are stuck in the same dynamic and it is not always about finances or debt.  Rather it is about patterns of behavior and failing to notice the link between the choices one makes and the consequences one lives with.
I have this female friend in her late 30s who spends a few yrs in one palce and then moves, her same financial situation is still the same, and she never gets it right.. I told her that no man wants a awoman who has no stability, financial or other...She repeats the same pattern of behavior over and over again.

and she is fat as hell, which doesn't help anything.

Just leaving and starting a new life, new name, no notice? Just wondering. And yes I have many times.

I've not thought about disappearing, because I like my life most of the time. I have considered that it would be nice to have a duplicate that could lead an alternative lifestyle and disappear if they got into too much trouble. This way I could be home being a good husband while my duplicate could go out and raise hell. I mean, if one is going to dream, dream big. I also think it would be fun to be like Lestat the vampire. Whatever you do, you wake up the next day refreshed and unscathed.

I'm sure there's many men in thongs who did in fact cross that imaginary line on the carpet who would like to just disappear and start over.

Yeah, my friends from the military, and my family but they had no clue where I'd gone...

You've done it "many" times?

Don't you say in your other post you've been married for 12 years?

So did you pull this off before or while you were married?

I've never throught about dissapearing, but have thought of moving to a new country for a undetermined period of time, just for a complete change. I would still keep in contact with friends and family. This is normal though.

What about the house, stocks, pension, family? I'd quit jobs and dissapear in my 20's. Now it's all out of the system. In the end you can run but can't hide from yourself. 8)

"Any of you ever think about disappearing" contemplating this idea one can only assume you live a miserable, emotionally unstable existence. Get some help before you start to consider suicide, seriously.

i dream about being hugos right hand man, and taking over when he is done.

I stand corrected. I messed that one up, sorry Mr. Wiggs.
