UPDATE: Victoria's Secret Model Marisa Miller Joins R.I.P.D
The stunning model who has appeared in quite a few TV shows will make her big screen debut joining Ryan Reynolds in the supernatural adventure flick..
According to THR, Victoria's Secret and Sports Illustrated model Marisa Miller will join Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges in Universal's adaptation of the Dark Horse comic book R.I.P.D.

No word on which role she will be playing but my money is on, ehh, someone hot anyway. TV fans will no doubt recognize Miller from the likes of Entourage, Gary Unmarried, and How I Met Your Mother. She makes her movie debut in Robert Schwentke's CBM, which follows a murdered cop (Reynolds) who is recruited to work in the Rest in Peace Department, a police force comprised of ghosts who battle spirits unready to depart this world.

Update: via FSR Apparently Miller will play the "body that Bridges’s character chooses to manifest his ghostly self as when walking amongst the living".

R.I.P.D also stars Jeff Bridges, Kevin Bacon, Mary-Louise Parker, and Stephanie Szostak.

Super Model Maris Miller Talks About Her Feature Debut in R.I.P.D.
The stunningly beautiful Marisa Miller talks about how exciting it is to be working on her first film, and how important it is for her to learn Jeff Bridge's speech mannerisms.

Marisa Miller may be making her film debut in Ryan Reynold's supernatural cop movie, but it isn't her acting debut. She has already made cameos in episodes of "Entourage," "How I Met Your Mother," and "Gary Unmarried." Let's just hope that she can make her crossover from model to actress smoother than Transformers 3 star Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

R.I.P.D.
This is an excerpt from an interview with oceandrive.com.

Kelly Slater: You’re shooting a movie called R.I.P.D., with Ryan Reynolds, Kevin Bacon, and Jeff Bridges. What’s that about?

Marisa Miller: Yeah, I’m super pumped. They’re all cops in the underworld, and they’re dead. When they have to go to Earth, I play Jeff’s avatar. So it was kind of a crazy experience, because I had to have his inflections, the way he talked and everything.

Kelly Slater: Cool. You should get [Bridges] out on the water! He likes to surf.

Marisa Miller: Yeah, that’s awesome. It gives us something to talk about.

In another bit of R.I.P.D. news, according to the Boston Globe producers are looking for anyone who can mime, dance, do yoga, and martial artists. If you have the skills required and will be around the Boston area Jan. 5 then email ripdextrascasting@gmail.com.

While promoting the DVD, Blu-ray release of his recent film "Safe House," Ryan Reynolds briefly spoke about his comic book film "R.I.P.D." which opens next summer and the highly anticipated solo "Deadpool" film.

Talking with Movie Hole in an interview posted Saturday, the "Green Lantern" star says "R.I.P.D." just wrapped and Jeff Bridges was great.

"R.I.P.D. just wrapped two days ago — I’m really excited about that.R.I.P.D. was great, though. Jeff Bridges is a great costar, and [director] Robert Schwentke did a great job."

The 'Rest in Peace Department' is based on a 1999 Dark Horse comic book series in which a deceased cop (Reynolds) works with a team of 'undead' police officers to discover who murdered him. The newly dead officer will be mentored by a veteran (Bridges) at R.I.P.D. to solve the crime in return for years of service to the 'force.'

Reynolds' description of the film adds even more intrigue to the film.

"It’s unlike any other movie I’ve ever seen. The movie’s palette is just incredible and the scope of it is amazing. It’s nice to see a budget like that being used in a really practical way."

"Deadpool" fans are eager to hear details of bringing the Merc with a Mouth to the big screen, but the "Safe House" star was brief.

"I can’t tell you anything about Deadpool."

Reynolds did open up a little, discussing the fighting in the film.

"I think all the hand-to-hand fighting is tough because there’s no way to really regulate that stuff. It just gets kind of ugly and mean, and there’s nothing you can do about it."

Director Tim Miller is on-board for "Deadpool," but no other details have been released.

"R.I.P.D." stars Reynolds, Bridges, Kevin Bacon ("X-Men: First Class"), Mary-Louise Parker, James Hong, Mike O'Malley and Robert Knepper.

"R.I.P.D." opens in theaters on June 28, 2013.

Okay so, he can't say anything about it (CLUE NUMBER ONE THAT A MOVIE IS ACTUALLY UNDER WAY IS THAT NO ONE SAYS JACK ABOUT IT! SO THATS AWESOME)

and that bit about the combat, so yeah i think $#!T is getting done here.

Kevin Bacon Discusses Playing The Villain In R.I.P.D.

After his excellent performance as the villainous Sebastian Shaw in 2011's X-Men: First Class, Kevin Bacon will be returning to the comic book movie genre in this summer's R.I.P.D., which is based on the Dark Horse graphic novel of the same name. Speaking with Collider while promoting The Following, the actor talks briefly about his villain in the Universal-distributed supernatural comedy, saying that the role is much lighter than his character in the FOX TV series. "I was just looping R.I.P.D. Even if it was on a looping stage, it was just so fun to step into some other shoes for awhile. ... He’s a villain, but it’s much lighter. It’s funny. He’s a goofball. He turns into a zombie. He’s not a serial killer." With a July 19th release date set, expect the marketing campaign for R.I.P.D. to begin soon, so stay tuned to CBM for more news on the film. For Bacon's full chat with Collider, click the source link below.

R.I.P.D. follows a cop killed in the line of duty and is recruited by a team of undead police officers working for the Rest In Peace Department, and then tries to find the man who murdered him. The film stars Ryan Reynolds, Jeff Bridges, Kevin Bacon, Mary-Louise Parker, Marisa Miller, Mike O’Malley, James Hong, Robert Knepper and Tobias Segal round out the cast of the film, which is directed by Robert Schwentke (RED).
