freddy actually had pretty decent legs.. and yes he trained back hard.. he used to do what many of them did in that era and that was super set all chest and back exercises.. (matter a fact as of a few years ago he was still doing that).. he liked to party it up a bit.. no harm in that .. that is the first i heard of the rape deal.. but i can tell ya when ya asked freddy if he took protein powders or other supplements he would respond "who needs that shit when ya have d-bol"..  ;) said it numerous times..
were you around the bbing scene in the 60's?

I have never heard the rape accusations but look at who is spreading those rumors.  ::)

I really miss that era of bodybuilding when the sport was such a small community.  Very few even knew about steroids back then.  I saw one reference in a Weider magazines in the early 60's of a tissue building drug without any further comment.  I bet it was dianabol.  At one point it was the only anabolic steroid.  Then winstol, deca, anavar and others came out.

this is certainly before the population had even heard of the word "steroids"

i wonder what that black guy was thinking since he hasnt had any formal education or prior knowledge of the term steroid, he seems quite angry to be honest
;D

no freddy was not natural.. lol.. he will say that now with the stigma attached to it.. but he did like his dbol.. who cares? not me.. but i knew someone would spout off about him being natural or "he did not take much".. one must realize that they did not know the potential health issues back then and many took massive amounts of dbol based on this..

On the the rape thing, it was mentioned on a couple of boards(Draper's and either Ironage or Iron History, I can't recall) and was mentioned/alledged by a few big name folks in the know as being truthful.

All those guys took handfuls of D-bol daily so what anyway. You have to realize that back then no one thought of steroids as they do today. To them steroids where just super potent vitamins.

have to give the guy props.. he even had hamstrings which were unheard of in that era lol.. he trained every fast and for higher reps most of the time.. my buddy john used to see him train quite a bit and he did massive volume.. numerous super sets ect.. now, for his height and his build then, take him to hany or anyone today , add in slin and hgh and you have your 202/212 class winner right there.. hell, maybe he could nail down a good placing in the open class.. again, lots of work and volume and heavy eating was done by him.. and it worked.. ;)
