2011 Olympia - Vegas Buffets... Best Buffets? Best Deals?
« on: September 11, 2011, 09:44:41 PM »
Haven't been there since last year's Olympia. what's the best now? I noticed last year when i went, a year really makes a difference.

A few years ago when i went to planet hollywood, it was terrific, good quality. then when i went last year, it wasn't the same, the quality was not like before.

also the Paris buffet, was really mediocre,at best.

anyone know, what casinos offer all day buffets?

In my opinion the best buffet will be the one that's most convenient such as the buffet in the hotel in which you're staying.

I eat in LV buffets a couple of times each week and each has its pros and cons.

The best buffets are usually high priced such as the Wynn, but there are a few high priced buffets in town that are pretty bad.

Be advised that most buffets raise their prices during the weekends and feel justified by referring to it by a fancy title such as Sea Food Night or Polynesian Night while simply adding a few more food choices on the line. That's when the locals fine dine at home.

Be aware that most all buffets will offer a discount of $2 to $4 if you present your free player's club card to the cashier.

And the major hotel chains on the Strip have begun to offer what's known as the all day buffet pass for around $40 (more or less) which can be used throughout the day in any of that chain's locations.

Buffets are damn good deals but I strongly advise you to bitch and scream when they start to charge you any form of RESORT FEE for hotel services you never ordered or never even intended to use.

I'm not a fussy buffet fan, so I like them all but I usually recommend tourists to try the Orleans if they want a decent bang for their dollar.

But bring a cutting saw if you choose the beef ribs off that line .

And as Hangclean mentioned  .... The Wynn and the Bellagio are the best but expect
to pay a heafty price.

Sorry to get a bit off topic here but this subject doesn't deserve a separate post ,,,, But there are a lot of semi-wierd things to do in this town besides eatingonsand I'll try
to post one or more a day before the Oly.

How about a thrill flight with a retired fighter pilot?

Or a 45 minute drive to Pahrump to visit a Whore House Museum?

Or a visit to the Boneyard?

Or a damn high Zip Line ride over a desert canyon?

Or a massage by a naked lady inside your hotel room?

Or three hours of beer for $20?

Or $2 Tequila shots with a beer chaser?

VINCE. Keith was well known at the Orleans as a decent Craps player so he was always compt at that buffet.

I would join him on many occasions and was always surprised on how little he ate, but he always walked out with a couple of extra cookies.
