I was at the 03 Northern Colorado Champs when we competed for the first time. He looked nuts then, looks even more nuts now. The changes he made between 03 to 04 when he won the CO State Champs were just silly. He actually lost the 03 State Champs to Rick Sosias, or Ricky Starr if your into the whole muscle gallery scene.

I'll probably get flogged for this, but personally I find the type of physique Heath has in the original pictures in the thread to be a lot more appealing than many pro and ex-pro physiques.

Don't get me wrong - it's impressive to see the sheer mass some people bring to the stage. But because of that mass, they tend to look like they just couldn't function as human beings in everyday life. Ronnie, for example, looks like he rolls to wherever he needs to go. Rühl looks like he must own a forklift and pay someone to operate it, so he can get moved around. Kai looks... well... like Kai.

In the posted pics Heath looks strong and muscular and you get the sense that his muscles work for him instead of hampering him. He still has that quality, although it's to a lesser degree, which I guess is understandable in the grand scheme of things.

Except Arnold of course. In fact Arnold's physique was more appealing than Heath's ever will.

actually it proves his theory. phil responds great to drugs. that IS gh15's point (i am sure he will respond) but don;t you see him that he took drugs from day one. he grew like a weed,,,he won..gets sponsored then hits tons of gh and insulin which is the blown up muscle you see now. he missed out on the muscle that he could have gained naturally. therefore no foundation

Bodybuilding fans use to know the training routines of all the champions.  I couldn't tell you anything about Phil's training, and he's Mr. Olympia.  Training is irrelevant anymore, all drugs.
