Actually, no, he quite wrong. The assumption that I get along with most blacks due to the skin tone, is quite wrong...there are many blacks that I don't get along with, there may be a shared commonality, but to suggest that black people are monolithic is ignorant.
When I went to Morgan St, which is a HBCU---the NYC people didn't get along with the PG County people, the Southern vs Northern, then you had the Midwest, the West Coast Vs East Coast, and the African vs the Caribbean...there was a differencees in opinions, views and thoughts...and then there was the Light skinned (which is me) vs Dark Skinned...
Dark skinned blacks many times don't trust light skinned ones, and since I come from a middle class background and talk like I have some sense, there is that distrust. In fact, there are some whites that I get along with more than blacks. Those are people who have some sense. I'd rather deal with a person of any color with sense than a idiot without it.
