What about this whole "3-Dimentional Mutation" thingy?
« on: October 28, 2011, 04:29:54 PM »
We talk about the rear delt being an obvious sign of GH usage. We talk about it as a 3D thing. It is said that a bodybuilders drug regimen can be identified by the mutation and protuberance (like that word) of the rear deltoid.

Arnold had shit for rear delts. There are side-poses where you see nothing. He worked them every day because of this "weakness" ~ yet he worked his calves in excess and posed in water because of this "weakness" (and they actually grew?) ~ then there is the rumour of implants.

I have seen only pro bodybuilders in my gym who have the crazy shelf-like delts and humongous traps. I already know what they are on. I'm not guessing.

My question is this: If a bodybuilder (genetics aside) only grows "3D" mutated rear heads on the posterior delt, and we attribute this to GH and a few other assorted drugs, will he lose these rear delts when he stops that particular dope?

Arnolds calves seemed to have hung on for years after he backed off of his training regime, but now they look like they are gone.

What gives? Opinions?

Here are some pics. Of course I photoshopped them, for the example, analogy, whatever.

No rear delts to speak of. Not like the Pros today. Always looked funky especially with the huge chest. Maybe not back then, but they do now that we have seen such huge delts today (please don't include Nasser in this)

Photochopped with rear delts, more traps and a smaller chest:

Typical delts on today's Pro competitors:

Well isn't it so, that when you flex your rear delts they tend to tense inwards and not pop up like chest or biceps, but when you are in certain relaxed position it pops your rear delt up, just like branch in that picture.

Allthough, otherwise you have a solid point that todays pros in general use oil

arnold would not have gotten the 3 dimensional look ,cause it is doubtful that he used hgh in his competitive days.

I also think that they didn't put as much effort into rear delt training back then.

Good answers.

I was looking through a bunch of pics of 70's and early 80's Pros and I really don't see that rear delt ~ regardless of the pose.

Although one question does arise; pretty decent lats on a lot of them, why no rear delt? I mean, seriously, you don't have to specifically beat the shit out of them if you are "on" the right shit ~ right?

I see insane traps on these guys at the gym and they NEVER shrug and rarely DL. Maybe a few bent-over this and that's (including reach-arounds) ~ but really...

I really DO think this anomaly is directly related to the dope and possible site injections. The only problem with site injection of the rear delts though is that they get easily infected, AND someone else has to do it for you... unless you get REAL creative (J/k)
