Poland - going on a business trip there soon
« on: September 08, 2011, 04:09:41 PM »
I'm going on a business trip to Poland soon

most of the time will be spent in Drawsko Pomorskie with possibly an evening or two in Crakow

is anyone here familiar with the area or has perhaps vacationed there?

any points on interacting with the locals would be appreciated

contact me when you're in Cracow. it depends on what you wanna see. it's perfect place for sightseeing but it's pretty boring, at least for me. Wawel is pretty impressive but honestly its most impressive from distance near Wisła. nightlife is pretty intense here.

in Cracow most young people speak english pretty well. city is pretty crowded especially around sights and you wont have any trouble asking people for help.

anyway I never been to Drawsko but as you might have figured I live in Cracow so well, i'm kinda familiar with this place.

Well we have our kings and... president buried in Wawel tomb. Locals are friendly unless driving a car. Beware of crazy drivers as we have plenty.

Im not really into tourism and stuff but if you wanna any specifics I'm gonna ask around and tell you. Just give me an idea of what you wanna do/see.

I'll be lucky to have a free evening in Crakow at the end of my trip

probably just hit a random bar or disco if I get a chance

Haven't seen any. But there's such a variety of places like this that I wouldnt be surprised to see anything.

Anyway, most clubs are located in old building's basements in city center.

You need to find this

then streets like this

and you have all your clubs, cafees, whatever.

spent a week in Bielsko Biala and a week up North near Drawsko Pomorski

got three jumps in using with the AD-95 - landings were VERY soft

the food was awful but at least the clubs were cheap and best of all: no fat chicks

So, Polski chicks are prettier than Americano chicks.
