Environmental Crisis
« on: December 04, 2011, 01:22:04 PM »
I just watched the news from here in Stockholm. They had a professor of meteorology from the university of Stockholm on and interviewed him on the latest understanding of climate change. According to him, essentially all of the doubts we once had that this could be a natural occurance don't exist any longer, saying the climatic patterns since the 60s and 70s don't match those occurring naturally. There's also been talk about a global increase 2 degrees C being the redline for which we cannot cross without major cataclysm, a number he is very doubtful we will be able to hold us to.

With the world's economy shaking like it is and entrapeneurs along with world leaders not really catching on that green development and production can = lots of green, the answer lies in our hands!  A grassroots solution is what we need.

I hear what your saying but 40 years is a drop in the bucket compared to patterns from the beginning of this planets existence.

Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear enough.  The 60-70s marked the beginning of this most recent and dramatic climate change.  It is this period we are comparing to all of the prior periods of change.  As I understand it, there are very few, if any, dissenters let in this argument.
