NBC/Marist Poll: Ron Paul Best Chance to Beat Obama
« on: December 06, 2011, 12:30:26 PM »
President Obama defeats all GOP competitors except for Ron Paul in a hypothetical matchup; and

42 percent of registered voters in Iowa support Ron Paul and 42 percent back Obama, with 16 percent undecided; and

Ron Paul leads Obama 42 to 35 percent among independent voters and attracts 15 percent of Iowa’s Democrats; and

Ron Paul also leads Obama by 14 percentage points among voters under 45 years of age

If he attracts 15% of Iowa Democrats but only gets 42% of the vote, then what happens to the Republicans and Independents who dislike Ron Paul?

The cold hard truth is that they'll piss and moan about it but the republicans and independents are not going to vote for Obama over it lol...  They'll vote for Paul because they hate Obama more than anything they've ever hated before.  They'll bank on controlling the things they don't like about Paul through congress.

Paul is the only republican that is going to snag that many dems from Obama.  15% would end Obama.  If he attracks half that in other states, Obama doesn't have a shot in hell.  Now people like Newt will only serve to rally dems behind Obama even if they are disapointed with him.

I agree with you.   The only two who could do that are Huntsman and Paul.

But in all seriousness  - after yesterdays' disgusting speech - if Obama wants to run on "Communism you can believe in"  - Casey Anthony / Mumia Abu Jamal would send Obama back to Kenya at this rate.

But Ron Paul is still the best - but damn it he needs to tidy up his message and image.   how about him buying a damn suit that fits?  How about he be direct as to what he will actually do?  how about he directly call obama what he is?  a Communist, a failure, a demogouge, a liar, an inflationist, a corrupt thug, etc?

If RP grew a set and did that - he would be at the top without a close second.
