Good eats
« on: January 09, 2012, 07:04:15 AM »
I spent this past weekend in Miami and had some really good food that I just had to report back to GetBig....

First up, I had a damn good filet at this Latin place called Yuca www.yuca.com

On my way back, I stopped at this place in Boca called Philippe Chow, where I had this amaaaaaaaazing belguin chicken, I'm talking this was one of the best meals of my life soooo good www.philippechow.com/

But the highlight (just for my Falcon brother) was at this great ice cream shop in downtown Miami that had Nutella flavored ice cream..... I ate that til I died.... Forgot the name, buti think my wife may remember so I'll have to check back with her!

Would've been an awesome trip if I hadn't gotten a flat tire on the way back in the middle of the night on the narrowest part of I-95 with a little ass shoulder on the right side only and the tire that needed to be changed was on the left side.... Feeling trucks fly by you so close at 80 mph is fucking scary!  Plus because it was a donut, I had to drive the remaining two hours going 50 mph with my flashers on (95 is 70 mph at that part)!

have you ever tried to cook this at home:

buy some minced beef or pork. cut it into small pieces (as small as possible) on a frying pan. add flour and oil. Cook it until crispy.
Takes a little skill to find the right amount of flour.. but it tastes really good with rice and vegetables.

I don't really know how to cook anything other than grilled chick and maybe some lean ground beef very basic stuff...

My wife is pretty adventurous in the kitches and always makes some awesome dishes for me!  I will have her try your suggestion!

Those donuts can handle 70 mph easy for about a year.  ;D

Don't ask.

I know... but it was a tad bit low on air, so wasn't handling well...  Anytime I went over 48 MPH, the Emergency Stabilization System on my car (Benz ML350) would start kicking in and the cruise control would shut off!!!
