Man, what a bunch of supportive fans.  Some of these guys, maybe more than some, are narcissistic douche bags. I have met and known some pro baseball players and 1 pro football player and of the very limited contact with them I was not struck by their humility. However, I see fans showing incredible support for guys who hit a 2 run homer after beating their wife to a pulp a month prior, or standing ovations for a single run home run hitter fesh out of rehab for a crack addiction that resulted in the theft of all of his family heirlooms and, best of all, most of his children's belongings. I could care less about the moron that has synthol oozing from his shoulder, particularly when it is not often rewarded.  I am not looking for a babysitter for my kids or for a world leader on www.getbigstayretarded.c om, I'm looking for bodybuilding info I can use or that is helpful to me in making decisions about what I should or should not do.

I regret the getbigstayretarded.com comment and I certainly did not intend to suggest that gb.com was inferior or superior to any forums or sites. In fact all have what I was getting at, fans hating the athletes, in common. GB is for those with thicker skin though, god damn y'all rough.

Unfortunately Flex was not wise with his bodybuilding earnings like Nasser was and hence he's left to desperate measures such as this including lying to fans.  Yet ironically Nasser's character is often attacked here while Flex's is not.

Flex definitely stated during his reign that once he retired from posing in a thong, he would never again set foot in a gym. Hardcore to the end this dude.

When Flex was a contender and I was an editor at MuscleMag, I travelled to Venice, CA, to hang at Gold's. Everyone was super nice and welcoming. Except Wheeler. (I lifted with the Barbarian Brothers, Tom Platz, Lee Priest etc., and hung with/ate with/ spoke with tons of others: Mike Christian, Gary Strydom, Jason Mathis, etc.) The only dipshit who blew me off was ol' Ken.

He was out of town for a few days at FIBO and his training partners all said I could work in with them whenever (Rico was a very nice guy to me). When Wheeler returned and I approached him, he ignored me and acted like a superstar asshole. Then later, when he was told of my position at MuscleMag (I wasn't announcing it; not my style), he all at once became kind and accommodating.
