Anyone watch the movie DRIVE?

Solid fucking film.  Had this creepy synthesiser sound throughout that created this high tension. Made my BP rocket up waiting for shit to happen.

That Ryan Gosling is a stud.  No homo.

Solid soundtrack for sure.  Not much dialogue but what was spoken was brilliant. Like listening to poetry.

why i liked it so much. beautifully paced. not been spoon fed useless dialogue to explain what was going on . the long silences pulled you into the film even more.

There wasn't one movie that came out last year that made me want to watch it a second time.  Just watched Drive on Saturday and I already want to see it again.

The soundtrack and 'feel' to the movie was definitely incredible.

I didn't think the story was that compelling, which hurt it. If the storyline would of matched the overall feel of the movie it would of been an instant classic. As it is, still pretty good and one of the better movies of last year.

Exactly.  For about 30 minutes it had that eerie sound like something major was about to happen and I kept waiting for it but it didn't happen until the 80's music kicked in.  They sort of stole from Hitchcock to build up the tension but didn't get to that high note at the right time.  But it was solid though.

One more thing.  This is why I want to watch it again.  Different state of mind and see if the tension is just as high and if the payoff was the same.
