Author Topic: If you ever have trouble with an alligator.... (Read 4124 times)

Years ago I went out to the everglades in Florida to go fishing with some friends. My friend brought his black lab. The dogs name was something like midnight. Anyway we were in the middle of nowhere on a mission to catch some fish. This dog saw the water and went running for it. As soon as it jumped in the water this alligator came out of nowhere and attatcked this poor dog. Game over, midnight was gone. It was a real shocking thing to see. Really amazing actually. Dude was a mess after watching his poor dog get eaten.

If you're not making this up it must have been REALLY a shock to your friend. $:-\$

2 stories

#1 Years ago (I think in the 90s) there was a popular Florida attraction that advertised the world's biggest crocodile. Named Cookie or something. It was kept in a mud pit about 10 feet deep that had a small amount of water at the bottom and a 3 foot cement retaining wall at the top. A couple sat their 2 year old on top of the retaining wall and stepped back to take a photograph and the child fell off and slid down the embankment where everyone watched as the crocodile casually walked over and killed the child in front of everyone and ate the bodyparts. (Maybe 240 remember this one and can find the article online)

#2 (since the above was so tragic a bit light hearted story here) Two black dudes were breaking into cars at the casino here. The police arrived and they decided to split up and run in opposite directions. One ran across the property and escaped the other....

Well he thought it would be a great idea to hide from the police. In a lake. At night.

A man fleeing police by jumping into a retention pond adjacent to the Miccosukee Resort and Convention Center was killed by a 9-foot 3-inch (2.8 m) alligator on this date according to the Miami-Dade County Medical Examiners office. Padron and an accomplice were suspected of burglarizing cars in the parking lot of the resort which is located at 500 SW 177th St. in southwest Miami-Dade County when police closed in. Witnesses said they could hear Padron's agonized screaming before he disappeared underwater.[1][2][3]

An alligator is also a croc, just not every croc is an alligator.
