they're a very cerebral team. they have 2 weeks. I'd LOVE to see brady get smashed and lose by 40 points. But I don't see it happening.
Giants are great, but eli is such a hot/cold player. Brady is just consistently an a-hole... and aholes win.
have you been watching any football in the last 5-6 weeks? manning is statistically the best 4th quarter qb in the league. look at the BEATING he took against san fran- sacked 6 times, knocked down 12 times and hit 20 times- how many times did he turn the ball over? how many picks did he throw? not one. hes won 5 playoff games on the road- more than any other nfl qb. and your saying hes hot and cold? lol
the sad part is i really cant even debate this with you as your opinions are based less on fact and more on 'feeling'. which is great, but bring something to the table that makes sense, cause your 11 point blow out summary and eli's hot/cold opinion are way out in left field to anyone who pays attention to the game of football.
i agree with tre. the giants will win outright. the pats secondary which ranks 31st against the pass is going to get chewed up in the air. expect a more balanced attack from the giants this week too- bradshaw and jacobs will be work horses. offensively i give the edge in the this game to the giants. defensively i give the edge to the giants. the only wildcards are bellicheck who is without question the best football mind in the game today, and will go down as one of the most genius coaches in NFL history, and tom brady who is so surgical and mechanical he can hurt you every time he touches the ball in a very short amount of time.
the keys to this game for NW offensively are gronkowski needing to be healthy and brady opening up the giants secondary enough using welker hernandez and branch to make him a threat and defensively bellicheck disguising and getting pressure on manning cause if hes allowed to sit in the pocket and go thru his check downs the pats secondary will not hold up. for the giants, offensively the keys are to establish the run with bradshaw/jacobs, force NE to stack 8, spread the secondary and then go to the air w PA . defensively to bring that same game they brought to green bay- get after brady- rush him, knock him down, make him get moblie dont let him make his reads and when he squirts out of a collapsing pocket dont give him windows to throw into downfield where he can hurt you, keep yardage short and manageable, and force them to make mistakes on third and long.
