Gospel Fitness - Working out with Jesus

What the fuck is wrong with you yanks ::)

When Dawn Harvey leans back on her elbows, legs outstretched, rapidly pedaling, she's not just toning her abs—she's kicking Satan in the head. And when she and her Camp Springs, Md., aerobics class of 12 women stretch their palms to the sky, pumping them upward in cadence, it's not just for their triceps' benefit—it's a come-hither to their celestial inheritance. "Don't think about the pain—think about how much you love him!" screams instructor Melanie Kelly, over organ-trilling gospel music. "Y'all better praise!" This is gospel aerobics, the answer to your prayers if you're feeling feeble in body or flimsy in soul. It's hymn-singing, shoulder-bobbing, one heck of a workout—and it's happening in a musty church basement near you.

These people who capitalise on Gods name are very bad people. God's name should never be used to turn a profit unless it is going to a good cause and for some reason I do not think it is in this case.
To be honest I can't really see this going down well with Him, it seems more to mock Him that praise Him.

I agree, this is nothing more than 'peddling the gospel for their own ends' which, their confessed forefather of the faith the Apostle Paul derided constantly in his letters to to the church.

Work out - fair game. Go to church - even better. Make even more money out of your congregation by charging them to workout in Jesus name as well as 10% of their income - priceless.

Outed I know  ;D

True  ;D

But pls don't tell me crime numbers have not risen dramatically.  I've lived through many of the changes in our society.

Lol tell me about it, in the UK the Police fudge the stats every year so crime is actually going down  ::)

So everyone is afraid to walk the streets of London, but it's becoming a safer place! Best part about it, if someone gets stabbed in the street the police won't treat it as a 'serious' incident unless the poor fucker dies.

Religion of paste.

Move along now, nothng to see, this has been going on since the 90s...

Some people want to listen to Mary, Mary when they work out,
others want hear the classic song of "rough side of the mountain",
and take that message with them. I see nothing wrong with it...but, many times it's Big Girl time at these places...get em in with the word of Jesus (Can I get a amen!), but go to Pizza Hut across the street.
