What the hell kind of country are we living in, that a radical community organizer can be elected president? Yet another example that we're friggen doomed if Obama isn't voted out.

Potential jurors reporting for jury duty in the D.C. Superior Court building have of late been passing a photo exhibit celebrating renowned black women in a series of posters, each featuring portraits of trailblazers exemplifying greatness in their respective fields.
The idea is to honor “Black Women Paving the Way to Greatness in Politics.”
One of these personifications of “greatness,” however, comes as a shock, especially in the context of a court of law. It is none other than Angela Davis, a black activist who came to prominence in the 1960s as a leader of the Communist Party U.S.A. and the radical black group the Black Panther Party. Ms. Davis was such a high profile communist in the latter days of the Cold War that she was awarded the so-called “Lenin Peace Prize,” given to her in a Moscow ceremony by Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev himself.
Not that Angela Davis hasn’t been a trailblazer.
She was the second black woman to make the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted list. She earned that distinction as a fugitive wanted on murder and kidnapping charges stemming from her role in a notorious attack on a courtroom in Marin County in California.
Early Obama handler Bill Ayers was absolved of his crimes on a technicality; Davis got off in a kangaroo court trial, despite her comparably obvious guilt.
If being involved in the kidnapping and murder of Judge Harold Haley isn’t what qualified her for deification in a DC courthouse, maybe it was this:
Ms. Davis is these days a driving force in the prison-abolition movement and founder of a group called Critical Resistance, which is dedicated to smashing what she calls “the prison-industrial complex.”
Ms. Davis holds that any black serving a prison sentence in the United States is in reality a “political prisoner,” whatever offense they may have committed. In her lexicon, those convicted are only victims of “masked racism.”
Among our rulers, these insane sociopathic views are mainstream — as their having the gall to publicly honor someone as evil as Angela Davis confirms

Angela Davis is a communist and a Marxist but not a criminal.  She wasn't involved whatsoever in that Courthouse incident....in fact, if the police didn't start shooting at the vechicle, there would not have been anyone killed.  There was no technically...the jury found her not guilty because she was not involved in the shooting and this was an ALL WHITE JURY of all things

Yes, she was a member of the Black Panther Party but in the 50's and 60's when blacks had no rights, you either fought for those rights or you got hung from a tree.  If you were in her shoes, you would have likely been a Black Panther too.

No I wouldn't have.......she should NEVER have been on that poster. She was an FBI top 10. I'm no expert on her case but come on.....

Ms. Davis was such a high profile communist in the latter days of the Cold War that she was awarded the so-called “Lenin Peace Prize,” given to her in a Moscow ceremony by Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev himself.

As in the O.J. Simpson trial, however, many remained convinced of the defendant’s guilt despite the jury’s verdict. Ms. Davis was acquitted, wrote author and ex-radical David Horowitz for his Front Page website, “in part because of the difficulty the prosecution had in establishing in court the real connections between Davis and Jackson, and in part because the jury was stacked with political sympathizers like Mary Timothy, an anti-Vietnam [War] activist,” who, according to Mr. Horowitz, would later become the “love interest” of Bettina Aptheker, a prominent Communist Party activist and organizer of the National United Committee to Free Angela Davis and All Political Prisoners.

Anyone that was a communist, socialist or in the Black Panther Party was automatically on the FBI's Most Wanted List.  But you keep missing the point so let me repeat this....

SHE WAS FOUND NOT GUILTY BY AN ALL WHITE JURY

In any event, its an argument over a fucking poster hanging in a court building with 10 other people from different sides of the aisle.  It doesn't mean shit

Dude...the ALL WHITE JURY had a bunch of lib douchbags on it with white guilt.  Many of my fellow countrymen seem to think we owe blacks something because at one time some folks owned slaves. They haven't gotten over that fact and decided to elect an almost unelectable black guy because they refused to vote with their heads. I don't owe blacks a damm thing. My people came over in the early 1900's and then in the late 60's..neither side did a damm thing against blacks. She was a commie and an enemy of this country..black/white/yellow..whatever. Let me tell you something if 333 gives me a gun and I shoot you....we're both going to jail.

Regardless of who was on the jury...she was not there, didn't commit the shooting, didn't plan the operation, and did not have any involvement in it....period.  Of course she's going to be found not guilty by a jury.

As far as your analogy is concerned, its meaningless to tell me that because I'm a capitalist seeing as how I own and operate my own business.  You are right that you don't owe anything to blacks but no one has asked you....especially me

I think the real issue that some people have is that the federal government has given reparations to Asians, Indians, Jews, etc but never one red cent to us.  But as I've always said....life isn't fair and you have to take what's given to you and build your own destiny with it.

What the hell kind of country are we living in,...

In answer to your question Headhunter, you're living in the same kind of country, that would fund alQ and supply them with weapons, training, arms cover etc., so that their attack on a legitimate ruler of a country can be successful. Remember last year when a rag tag group of terrorists attempted to overthrow Ghaddaffi in Libya? Just as they were about to be put down, YOUR country led a coalition of western countries into bombing the crap out of Libya's legitimate military, supported terrorists, who murdered Ghaddaffi, and set about to commit genocide against the indigenous population of Libya. They rallied suppport for this invasion with the strategic use of film footage of public rallies in Libya, held IN SUPPORT of Ghaddaffi, and passed them off to an ignorant population as rallies AGAINST Ghaddaffi. If the majority of people were not so insulated or isolated, and so ignorant of other cultures abroad, ...they could not have gotten away with it. A mere glimpse of the cheering crowds would have informed the viewer that these were indeed PRO-Ghaddaffi rallies. Now the Al Queda flag flies high over Libya, genocide is the order of the day, ...and Ghaddaffi's GOLD? ...well who knows where that is, ...perhaps on it's way to fill up the empty vaults at Fort Knox.

btw: Did you enjoy the Superbowl as much as I did? I was thinking about you the whole time.  :P
