What's wrong with Aerosmith..not "cool' enough for you ?

I'll guarantee you "they" will still be playing Aerosmith on the radio Loooong after faddish "dub-step" is dead and buried

and I'm no fan of 'Smith...maybe back in the late 70's they were good, that's about it

And yes...that crappy song you posted was so "interwoven" with stiff, boring beats, my simple brain could not process it ::)

Nothing is wrong. I like the song "Summer of .(whatever date)" or how that song is called.. Another one about a "Jane with a gun" (?)

That's the difference between me and you. I can listen to aerosmith AND liquid DnB or Jungle, or dubstep, or detroit techno, and you can't grasp some of these so you assume automatically that it's "boring and stiff".. I've met countless people like that, futile to argue.. I can hear every single sound in that song, every single build-up and drop, the addition of new sounds, the harmony of it.. and you hear just "plain beats". Well go create something "not plain and stiff" you genious.

Some another genious called jazz a "mess of sounds" too lol.. I'm not surprised tho'

It's my opinion of it, music is subjective. i don't like that song. i've heard PLENTY of electronica that i thought was very good..that song sounds like an unfinished demo, it's stiff...i don't like stiff music..it's not cohesive , and has no memorable melodies whatsoever. I heard the 'build-ups" and the "drops" too...i have ears...i wasn't impressed

I was a disc jockey for 15 years "genius" ...i can own you on music all day long  ;)

and nice attempt at feigning you don't know those songs, because you are just SO FUCKING COOL, you can't possibly know any middle of the road rock songs  ::)

"memorable melodies" lol.. Most of the music I listen has no memorable melodies. Does jazz improvisations has "memorable melodies"? Vice versa - it's an "on going" flow, and if you have an ability to process it (and it TAKES time and effort. These people who play it, does it for 20years llike crazy to be able to perform like that) it brings you a huge emotional pleasure, uncomparable to something like listeninig "Aerosmith", it's a diff. kind of high. And while I don't compare quality electronic music to jazz (as former is on a higher level), but overall it's comparable as the sounds to people who doesn't know how to process them hear it like a "monotonous chaos" usualy. Many would get a headache, just like from jazz, which I personally can listen all day long too.

WHere's "memorability" in this^^? And why it's still so fukkin dope? I listen this particular video for a first time and I get chills. That's what quality electronic music many of you call "dumb and boring" is about. Not all dubstep or dnb or techno is quality, but when it is - you better shut your mouth up as you have no fukkin idea of what are you talkin' about. And no need to be angry on me just because you are too old to understand or too dumb (that's for a statistical meathed/narrow minded getbigger).

p.s. - I forgot ID for these songs for real, as I don't listen to Aerosmith often you damn clown. Why would I be ashamed to admit it when I -admitted I like some of that stuff anyway? I could name plenty of other 70-80's stuff, not exactly, but something like Def Lepard - Animal, oh yes - it's cool, just very "outplayed"...

For an education: many kinds of electronic music has a "repetitive" feel to it solely to a reason that it's roots are in the ancient african drums/"music", used in certain ceremonies, which is a "mother" of a rhytm (or even music) afterall. And it was used with a goal to enter a state of "trance". Electronic music often has this goal too. It's very interesting kind of "high" (trance) whenj you learn to "decypher" it, as a lot of various additional sounds are added to it in a harmony, sometimes - very "chaotic" (but with a structure still, to a trained ear).

Here you go, not dubstep, but "stiff electronic music". Learn to process it and you won't look back.

yeah, it's "synthetic", it's not played  by "real instruments".. Well, wellcome to a XXI century, where we don't travel by horses anymore either...

I'd call it an "electronic jazz".

Most people I know wouldn't be able to stay there for more than 5mins, they'd ho home and listen "Metallica - Fuel" for a 856time (not that it's bad.. but they doesn't know any better). This kind of mucis needs to "grow on you", it takes time and conscious effort,

p.s. - oh yeah.. fella who plays it is skinny, wears glasses, and dances like a "queer", heeeeehaaaahaahaa hooo  ::) These of you who judge people like that should watch some violin or piano players and their body language.. they must be "retards" accordint to that outlook.

Nice try to "twist" my words once again (you were called a "twister" for a reason by gh15 I guess). I haven't been talking about LIKING certain music, I was talking abouit a fukkin DUMB meatheads who go "It's pure shit because I DON'T LIKE it", people are bums and queers because they relax and dance in a different way than I do, they are fags beucase they dress not the way I dress, etc, etc.. you feel the difference?

Like any genre it depends on the song.  There are some good dubstep songs.

"dancing"  ::)

I'm not "twsting" anything. You are the one getting all bent out of shape, and are starting with the insults, because some people said "dubstep sucks".

they are all " meatheads" and "don't understand complex rhythms"  ::)

how about they just don't like it ?...is that possible without you calling them stupid ?

Yes of course. There's a big difference between "not liking" and "dissing", a very big one. At last we came to some consensus, geez...

You'd be surprised, but people who listen to that kind of music (and not just dubstep, but - similar) are often amongst most intelligent, open minded and educated people you'd ever meet.
 Don't be a f'kin meathead.

Oh I am sorry, next time I work the door at one of these events I'll take some Tolstoy and begin to recite it over the mic.

Im sure it will make all of the little c unts rise from thier ket holes, stop dribbling, rolling round the floor and burst into a full literary debate!  IME dubstep is primarily enjoyed by ket heads and people who like to get off it, then be a pain in the arse.

Oh and I'm far from a meat heat sunshine.....

Many of you are just a little over 30, but horribly "outdated" on many levels, when it comes to being "on the top of the game", world-view wise.. I'm dissapoint guys...
Don't even try to pick up a girl that's under 25 if you don't know what's dub-step or smth alike, you'll save yourself some time lol..
Im married to a 20 year old and even she says Dubstep is fucking stupid.
So I dont quite get your whole premise.

Although after listening to it, I can understand that some of the beats are complex.
But the rest is shit, utter shit.
Its like electronica without talent and more of a formula.

And dont try and start with the "You dont understand music", I've been playing music since I was 7 ranging from Jazz to Classic Rock to Metal and everything in between. I try to be open minded, but this is... just cool backbeats with a bunch of gayness thrown in.
