14-50 outlet for an electric car.
« on: February 25, 2021, 11:26:58 AM »

I am wondering whether it would be worthwhile as a inducement to rent my condo out if I would install a 14-50 outlet in the garage for an electric car?

Houston Tx....I am just considering when I list the place for rent if the list of the amenities include a high amp outlet in the garage.

How much would it cost?

I don't know yet...But the breaker box is literally on the other side of the wall of the garage, just above the washing machine in the laundry corner.

It would only take two to three feet of 4 or 6 Gauge Romex.

If it's that simple I'd do it! I run power outlets often in my home and business and there is no such thing as too many :)
