Whether you know him or not is irrelevant to whether he deserves this. Anyone who breaks a world record deserves it.

This is a damn impressive bench, thats for sure.

Unbelievable strength. Congrats.

However, the immediate drop of the bar upon handoff and MAJOR compression/rebound at the bottom negates its being a valid record, in my books.

But don't get me wrong: this guy is hella strong. Geez!

Agreed. Technically there should have been a pause at the bottom of the lift.

I'm a weak POS on bench tho so I'm not here to talk shit lol

was this touch and go. it being a record i am guessing NO. if not you are right should have been a pause and a command to press..but like you  that is some serious power

There are three distinct and obvious technical infractions committed. And there would be three red lights in most honourable and legit federations.

Facts are facts.

But to argue this cat isn't CRAZY strong would be ridiculous. To hoist mid-6 at ANY WEIGHT and with ANY AMOUNT OF DRUGS is freakin' unbelievable.

This wasn't an official lift, though, in any way, shape or form, despite it being passed in this federation. I'd prefer to see him jam up a solid, paused, non-compressed, say, 610?

Watch it again, he clearly pauses and then presses when called. I think eyes get thrown off by the fast drop to the chest, unlike most who lower the bar slowly and controlled. Just an opinion, either way pretty wicked.
