MESO,thanks for responding to the 'stuff ' I addressed to WES.
I don't know how many of these events you've actually attended but I'd guess only a few due to the fact that you seemed to be surprised by what you saw.
And I gotta agree with you because only a dozen or so years ago the people in attendance appeared to be healthy athletes with functional muscle who could run three miles without falling over.
But a good majority of those in attendance today appear to be what are affectionately known within my rhelm of friends as "Bulky Blunders"
who can omly lift heavy things ........ sometimes.
But there are some guys and gals who will always stand out as the perfect balance of strength and conditioning and health who are most times considered to be "tweebs" by these bigger bulky blunders.
What you saw and so aptly described is getting to be more common each and every year and a reliable source has told me that the bulky blunders will be in complete control within 10 years or so.
Maybe WES would like to argue with this or simply agree and offer additional insite because there is much more to this than I have stated above and only those who have witnessed this physical thansgression over a good number of years can intelligently comment on.
Good observation, Thanks, MES!
