This. People are not equal and should not expect to be treated as such.
Everyone should have the same opportunities... after that, theyre responsible for their own actions.

This is what I believe as well. Most people have the opportunity, it's bad decision making on their part at some point that leads to their downfall. Having kids at a young age out of wedlock, no highschool degree, drugs or whatever. Most are in those positions because they put themselves there.

I personally have battled addiction. While I wasted years of my life, it has not stopped me from making a good life for myself.  Even with bad decisions, its still very possible to create a good life for themselves. Its this reason why I dont really give a shit when somebody cries about how shitty their life is because of hardships of their own making.

For the politicians is about "buying" votes from the poor.

Thing they dont understand, is giving shit to people is not going to help them to contribute back to society. Its only going to make them dependant and lazy.

You can't force someone to learn. I have a few teacher friends and the shit they talk about how awful the kids are is astounding.

I was referring to hand outs.
Education can be the same way, if you just hand them 100k to go to school for something they will never wind up finding a job for.

I have about 20-25k in student loans, just finished school. And to me, thats nothing. Thats a new car. Cheap education.
