I made a thread a while back about visiting a new doctor and my BP was high, etc. and I told him the cycle I was on.
Anyhow...
last night I was in a club and this young guy grabs me by the arm and he was TWISTED drunk. I knew him to see only and he says "Dave, what you are on? What are you taking?". I was like "ugh, creatine and protein, bro".
He stares at me...asks me "do you know X McX?"...and stared me in the eyes. The name didn't actually ring a bell for a second and then he goes "you know him, that's my father". It was the doctor's son.
I was like..."oh yeah...but why are you asking me if I know your father?"
He says "oh I saw you going into him the other day". Which was absolute bullshit.
He replies "Don't worry, my father says nothing". I replied "I hope not." and walked away.
My blood started to boil today the more I thought about it. I live abroad but am back in Ireland for a bit of a vacation and the town I live in is small. Now it's obvious to see me that I'm juicing and most people do ask me if I am. I used to admit it but now I just deny, deny, deny.
I've decided I'm going to ring the doctor's office at 9am and tell his secretary to have him call me back when he has free time and I'm going to tell the story and see what he has to say. I am gonna tell him I'm not happy. I always thought patient-doctor confidentiality was upheld but obviously not in this case.
What are your thoughts, lads?
well, you do say that everyone asks you what your taking, so how is it different when this kid asks you ? a tad paranoia?
and yeah doctors are supposed to keep it confidential, and thats mostly for legal purposes ( i.e. your company cant call your doctor and get your medical history etc), but no doubt these docs go home and tell their families, specially if you live in a small town and everyone knows eachother , i can see the doc saying at dinner table" so , that irish dave guy came to me today, we was taking some stuff and thought it was affecting his BP"....
im more suprised about your attitude in this regards..
first your gonna call your doctor and ask him why his son asked you what your taking? and this is all the while when everyone in your town asks you?
and when the kid says his father didnt say anything, your response is " i hope not", thats incriminating right there, the kid needs to know all he knows...
