Now, Roberts has been VERY conservative on many issues, and repubs loved him until today. So I doubt his judgment has been affected.
BUT -
I'm pretty sure him having a seizure, fainting, being rushed to hospital and going thru all that may have played into his decision making. I mean, it's easy for 30 year old getbiggers to say "I make good money, choose not to carry health insurance, and the ER will take care of me for free if I need it. It's another thing for 50 year old man like Roberts to face a very scary hospital stay, realize how nice his treatment was, and maybe take on a 'everyone needs healthcare' kind of outlook.
So him impaired? No way. Roberts being influenced by his hospital stay? almost certainly.
Claiming that Justice Roberts may be at the least "impaired" by his anti-seizure medicine.
Drudge Smears Justice Roberts Over His Seizures
In response to the Supreme Court's ruling in favor of health care reform, the Drudge Report is smearing Chief Justice John Roberts over the possibility that he might use epilepsy medication and suggesting that it affected his judgment.
Drudge linked to a Real Clear Politics post that contains a clip of right-wing radio host Michael Savage claiming that "if you look at Roberts' writings you can see the cognitive disassociation in what he is saying."
(snip)
Among Savage's numerous outrageous remarks, he said in 2008 that autism is a "fraud, a racket" and called it "a phony disease."
