agreed.....I often wonder what I would have done in a similar situation....but I guess those guys with Hitler at the end were the die-hards......the other guys had already fled to Argentina, etc I guess.....I would have probably beat it out of Germany once the Russians closed in on Berlin..the Russians were bent on destroying Germany....I read the Russians were raping every woman they could get their hands on.....Also imagine the gloom in that Bunker....and the mood of the officers who knew it was the end and they were probably going to have to kill themselves.....also Speers and his wife were some fucked-up parents to murder their children like that

You are all correct,...this is a splendid film,...I have a special feeling in my heart for German language cinema.If you liked this film you will almost certainly like the british film with Alec Guiness, "Hitler, the Last Ten Days".You will also like Luchino Visconti's, "The Damned" a fictionalization of the Krupp (yes the coffee makers) and the Junker families.The Krupps/Junkers made most of the german war implements.
