Star of Obama Ad Changes Tune: He's a 'Jerk'Tuesday, 17 Jul 2012

The star of an Obama campaign ad attack against Mitt Romney and Bain Capital is now on the attack against President Barack Obama, according to In These Times.
Donnie Box, a former employee at Kansas City's GST Steel, the steel plant closed by Bain capitol in 2001 during Romney's tenure with the company, appears in a pro-Obama super PAC ad in high circulation in swing states.
Despite his criticism of Romney, Box, a lifelong Democrat, says he will no longer be voting for Obama in 2012 because he has lost faith in politicians as a whole.
"I could really care less about Obama," Box said. "I think Obama is a jerk, a pantywaist, a lightweight, a blowhard. He hasn't done a goddamn thing that he said he would do. When he had a Democratic Senate and Democratic Congress, he didn't do a damn thing. He doesn't have the guts to say what’s on his mind."
The ad Box appears in was created by the super PAC Priorities USA, according to the Weekly Standard, and is part of a $7 million ad campaign in Colorado, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
The ad features Box, who lost his job of 32 years at Kansas City's GST Steel after Romney's firm took it over.
The super PAC said the ad is partially responsible for hurting Romney's polling in swing states, the Weekly Standard reported. Box was also featured in an ad from MoveOn.org.
