In an attempt to escape Obama’s woodshed, where poor Romney was taking a thrashing, he made what many are calling a bold move and announced House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan as his running mate.  He’s young, some say handsome, fiscally conservative with a capital C and from where I sit, just another boring white guy; less exciting than Pawlenty, if you ask me.

The announcement should actually come as no surprise. High-powered Conservatives had begun calling for Romney to put Ryan on the ticket last week…and Romney, the man with the “working digits”, does as he’s told.

There’s no escaping politics, not even thousands of miles away.  My friends are quite vocal.

“And they have the nerve to say President Obama wants to turn America into Europe….Isn’t Ryan the guy with that austere budget like Greece that balances the treasury in about fifty years?”

“Besides, being full of sheet, what’s wrong with your Republicans?”

“It is a vulture and vampire ticket.”   They think it’s funny.

But it’s anything but a joke.  Ryan calls his budget “The Path to Prosperity”, but in fact, it is a path to poverty for millions of Americans.  

In joint letters to the House and Senate, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops addressed the “moral and human dimensions of the federal budget”. They feared pressure to reduce the deficit would wipe out Pell Grants, workforce training and development, nutrition assistance, low-income tax credits and safe and affordable housing for the less fortunate. They said Ryan’s budget fails the moral test.  But it is his claim to fame.

This would seem to be a move that will unite strange bedfellows, but then again, the hate for President Obama is so palpable, I don’t count on it.  Obama supporters can’t take anything for granted or be caught napping.  It’s more important than ever to get the Republicans out of power and keep them out.

But what does that budget mean for America? The GOP budget plan hurts seniors, it hurts middle-class families, and it hurts students. All to pay for tax cuts for those at the top..

The pressing need at the time was the economy - not health care.  I know you go along with almost everything the messiah does, but that does not make it reality just because obama gives you an excuse to parrot to everyone else at his stupid priorities. 

The Demos got landslided in 2010 because no one wanted a federal takeover of healthcare, save for a few of the messianic radicals and cult members of Thulsa Doom, which you are. 

People wanted the economy and debt dealt with first, second, third, and fourth.  not cap and trade, not obamacare, not the other bullshit.
