there's also probably some deep psychological issue going on here that needs assessing through hours of therapy and chemical huffing.

the fact that you don't want to go to work on any given day also probably stems from some traumatic memory you had as a child like getting porked by a sibling.

Wait for awkward silence on the other end of the line.
Quickly say "Thanks, see you Monday".

Yeah I do this one, I just say I won`t be able to make it in, I`ll call back if I`m feeling better. Granted I never engage in this type of fraud so I my boss never gives a shit.

Anyhow you don`t need to let the boss know  whats wrong when your back to work, by that time I`m usually hungover as fuck from drinking on my day off, so I just look sick and do a half ass job all day.

Just tell the truth.  You've run out of Pro Tan and you don't want to turn up to work pale as you'll look smaller and less cut.  He'll understand.
