Always dug Burke's stuff.  His Connections show was a really engaging way to present history.

Dead on with this post Ron.
I first was trained on computer technology 30 yrs ago in the USMC. We used the old DOS commands and typed in every step.
I  have to keep re-teaching myself the new technology applications and jargon as I get older hahaha.

Every generation feels that the new advances in technology/science are really a step backwards.
I seriously doubt that anyone today wants to go back to world without cars and drive around in a horse &buggy.
How fucking stupid are you, there a huge amount of people thinking this is necessary as we speak. Between fuel shortages, traffic jams, waste of high value real estate, wasting of a highly valued resource, and the way in which it creates negative debt theres very little value in it at all.

Advancing technology can have a "domino effect" upon society but if you think about it, what happens to the dominoes?

They all fall down.  And so too, can society if it allows an unhealthy zeitgeist to hold sway.  This is why latin is used in both the medical professions.  Latin is a dead language and as such does not change.  It is well suited for use by doctors and lawyers because it does not change.

The world has been going to hell since the horseless carriage took to  the streets.
I have been against " the talkies" and demanded we keep silent motion pictures.
First we got that damn aero-plane thingy buzzing over our heads and pretty girls in 2 pc swimsuits showing off.
In my day we played one game . It was stare and the sun.
No get off my damn lawn sonny, I have the Lone Ranger radio program up next on RKO.
