It was the 2009 Arnold that most people feel was
Kai's best. Then those that followed Kai to the
Australia Grand Prix noticed he was even better there.
At the 2010 Arnold he was a bit smoother than 2009.
His condition at the 2009 Aussie was a bit better then
the 2011 NY Pro but I've compared the videos and
Kai's physique was definitely better at the NY Pro.
(Very close to same conditioning as 2009 but he was
grainier and more dense in 2011,) I do believe 2011 NY was
his best ever although that is the minority view.
To answer the OP's question, Kai still would have come in
3rd unfairly. They were not going to drop Jay below second.
The mass consensus from almost all experts and attendies is that Kai was
better than Jay at the Sheru Classic.
Kai will have a better chance to beat Phil this year with Jay not competing.
Phil has the illusion of being big but Kai is truly a thick dense monster.
If in peeled shape Kai will expose that illusion. The head judge of the
2010 AC said that is the only reason Kai won. Phil won the prejudging
but Kai's size gave him the nod later in comparisons.
